Attendees will be introduced to various topics related to security, big data and machine learning

Food and beverages will be provided.

WHAT TO BRING

Participants should bring a laptop capable of wireless connectivity; we cannot guarantee wired connectivity will be available. Please bring ID cards for the event registration

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Women developers pursuing their career in fields related to Computer Science and interested in gaining additional skills related to CyberSecurity.

I don’t know anything about security. Will I be able to keep up?

Absolutely! This event is intended for beginner developers who would like a hands-on, informal introduction to what it means to work and develop in security. The most important goal of our event is for you to walk out with a sense of direction and a passion for application security.

I have questions that I would love to ask professionals in the industry. Will I have a chance to do that?

Yes! There will be multiple opportunities throughout the day to speak with employees whether or not they are actively participating in the coordination of the event. Ask away; we’re sure they’ll be more than happy to help.

If I have more questions after the event, will there be a way for me to download slides and keep in touch?

Our team will be providing printed documentation on-site as well as a digital version that you can download.

I only have a Windows laptop. Will I still be able to follow along?

Yes. While it’s strongly preferred that you have a Linux or Macintosh laptop, you can install Linux as a virtual machine and run it the above tools that way.

Is this really a recruiting event discussed as a security event?

No. This is, first and foremost, exclusively a hands-on security event. While recruiting staff will be available if you wish to speak with them, they will not be taking active participation in the event.

Can I take photos with Blue Sniper in the foyer?

Most definitely! We are very proud of our roots and love to take the opportunity to talk about it.
